What exactly is AZAV?

AZAV stands for Akkreditierungs- und Zulassungsverordnung Arbeitsförderung, Germany's regulation on accreditation and approval for employment promotion. Among other things, it sets requirements for training providers and certain publicly funded programmes. Approval is issued by an accredited specialist certification body (FKS).

Can I start as an individual?

A small organisation is possible in principle. What matters is demonstrable professional and teaching competence, reliability, suitable equipment, functioning quality management and a financially viable plan. A particular job title alone is not sufficient.

Does AZAV automatically bring me participants?

No. Approval, individual funding decisions and actual enrolment are separate steps. Demand, relationships with companies and a credible training offer need to be developed.

Can I charge 25 per cent above the B-DKS?

Not automatically. An excess must be based on necessary special expenditure and supported by appropriate evidence. Up to and including 25 per cent, the FKS reviews it during the approval procedure; above 25 per cent, additional BA cost approval is required. The rate actually approved and agreed is the rate that may be billed.

Are 200 teaching units always approved?

No. Duration must match the objective and individual need. On this website, 200 teaching units are only a scenario assumption. The voucher, commissioning terms, programme approval and services actually delivered determine the billable scope.

Can my company train its own employees and receive money for it?

Staff development and operating as a training provider are different roles. Internal training does not automatically generate fundable provider revenue. For your own or affiliated companies, funding eligibility, cost allocation and billing must be clarified with the Employer Service in advance. Mandatory training and purely operational inductions are not generally eligible under § 82.

How long does preparation take?

We agree a timeline after reviewing your starting position. The scope and completeness of your evidence determine the work required. Audits, FKS appointments, follow-up questions and certification decisions follow a separate schedule. No fixed approval deadline is promised.

Does the software take care of all the administration?

It can structure and simplify recurring administrative tasks. We plan implementation and onboarding with your team. Accurate data, services actually delivered, sign-offs and provider accountability remain necessary. Software does not guarantee a successful audit.

What does the certification body charge?

The FKS provides its own quotation and concludes a separate assessment contract. Its fees are not included in our consulting or document packages. Locations, fields of activity and programme scope may affect the cost.

How can I request a quote?

Prepare your enquiry in the contact section and send it through your email application to kontakt@azavexperte.com. This does not place an order or book an appointment. Scope is agreed individually; there is no instant purchase.
