the acronym puzzle.
The key terms for your first conversations. Clearly explained, with a direct route to the details.
AZAV
Germany's regulation on accreditation and approval for employment promotion (Akkreditierungs- und Zulassungsverordnung Arbeitsförderung). It sets requirements for providers and programmes in employment promotion. It is not a blanket authorisation for every type of training.
Understand AZAV in contextSpecialist certification body (FKS)
A body accredited for this purpose assesses the provider or programme. It decides on approval and certification. The consultancy helps you prepare; it does not issue this certificate itself.
Responsibilities and assessment processProvider approval
The assessment of the provider as an organisation: for example suitability, staffing, capacity and quality management. An approved provider does not automatically have approval for every programme it offers.
Distinguish provider from programmeProgramme approval
The assessment of a specific training or support offer. Objectives, content, duration, delivery and costs must align. This is separate from funding for the individual participant.
Prepare the concept and costingQuality management (QM)
The defined processes through which a provider organises and improves quality. These include responsibilities, documentation, feedback and reviews. A quality manual describes this work; it does not replace its actual implementation.
Structure of a quality manualFederal average cost rates (B-DKS)
Reference values published by Germany's Federal Employment Agency for assessing programme costs. They are not a general promise of fees. The learning objective, qualification level and specific format determine classification.
Current rates and excess costsActivation and placement voucher (AVGS)
A funding instrument that can, among other things, enable participation in a suitable approved activation programme. The objective, scope and validity of the specific voucher and funding case must be observed.
Coaching and employment integrationEducation voucher
An individual commitment to fund vocational training within a defined framework. The voucher's learning objective and conditions must match the chosen training. It does not provide blanket funding for all a provider's courses.
Understand the funding decisionSkills Development Opportunities Act (QCG)
A term often used in connection with employee training. The support described here is governed in particular by the current requirements of § 82 SGB III. Course-fee funding and wage subsidies are separate amounts.
Employee training in detailTeaching unit (UE)
In the synchronous calculation examples used here, one teaching unit is 45 minutes. 200 units therefore equal 150 clock hours. Asynchronous learning and workplace learning phases must not simply be billed as additional synchronous units.
Calculate with transparent assumptionsAudit and follow-up requests
An assessment compares statements, documents and actual processes. Open or unclear points may require further evidence or adjustments. A prepared document collection does not guarantee a positive assessment result.
